OEM+ rear toe arms?
So, I need to replace my homebrew "OEM+" rear toe arm upgrade (Meyle ball joints pressed into stock toe arms - thread here)
TL;DR of that is that the assembly/install went without a hitch, but the Meyle ball joints have a small amount of play after 2years/20k miles... So I need something new and better! Anyone got any suggestions for upgraded toe arms which are decently priced, properly sealed, properly durable...and available in the UK? I'd prefer not to have garish anodised adjustable things, but would settle if the price is right and they can stand up to UK road salt. |

How long have you had them on for? What brand of arms did you use?
Any thoughts on Lemforder Vs TRW balls? Last edited by Tambohamilton; 07-20-2023 at 01:22 AM.. |

Yeah, that was why I was asking - hopefully they're pretty much the same quality, because the trw are a few £ cheaper. Both significantly more expensive than Meyle, that's for sure!
Thanks for the input! |

Ordered the new lemforder ball joints yesterday - autodoc now have rewards for how long you been a customer etc, so I got 10% off a list price of £21.55ea... still very not cheap! I really hope they're made in Germany, with all the recent talk about non-german parts being sub-par.

Lying under the car (on jack stands), and bumping the wheel with my knees while feeling the toe arm joints. It's not major play, or wasn't when I had a go, but I could definitely feel it.

Result - ball joints made in Germany, wheel bearings made in Slovakia. Now just need to get a few more parts and find the time to install it all....

I'm not painting anything, unfortunately. One day I'll maybe pay to have a set of arms blasted and either zinc plated or galvanised...that'd be nice!
