At first i was like okay it's a little loud. But you gotta break the exhaust in. Boy does this exhaust sound great. 1000% worth jt
I think you are the first member on here I have seen mention they got the MPE exhaust. I know we have all been patiently waiting for the part to show up anywhere. Any pictures or part numbers you can share?

So I wanted to add the CF spoiler to my build and I got this response from my CA: "Z22 cf spoiler requires z17 cf front splitter to be added on. It will not let us add it as a stand alone option. Do you want to add z17 as well? If not we have to keep the Dealer installed MPP CF Spoiler"

Anyone else ran into this issue ?

yes, same issue when I asked my dealer as well. I am definitely not paying 1.5k+ for just a front lip in order to get the spoiler lol. I'll probably install it myself later on (~$500 for it).

Same for me as well. That's ridiculous. I'll most likely end up doing it myself as well after about a month or so after delivery

That makes no sense....I ordered the spoiler from BMW's website few weeks ago and it already arrived at the dealer (car is in "ready for transport" status) but I was hoping to add it as a port installed option so it's on the car when I pick it up from the performance center.

These prices are madness for a dash of carbon aside from the reasonably priced (and very nice looking) spoiler.

Alibaba and other knock offs I'm sure have replicas for 1/10th the price that look 95% as good. These are not performance parts...

Sad you cannot order just the side pieces of the front splitter...

How would one go about getting the M sport/performance seats as an added option? I haven't seen anything on getting them added but I see them in almost all the euro builds I've seen so far.

Not sure we can get them in the US might have to buy from Europe and have them shipped.

I would imagine the process is very similar to this.

So I decided to install the M Performance Carbon Fibre Interior in my 2022 M240i G42 and did a quick installation video for anyone looking to do the upgrade themselves.

My Dealer quoted one hour labor at $150.00, even though it’s a simple install I’m having them do it so it’s done when I drive away.

On vehicles where these add ons are actually providing measurable downforce, doing one end of the car without addressing the other end tends to unbalance the high speed handling since downforce would not be applied evenly in the event only one end had been treated.

Now, just looking at the MPE options doesn't tell us if they are very functional additions or mostly just cosmetic. I suspect the later...that is the MPE CF bits for the G42 are mostly for looks and don't provide major improvements in minimizing lift or maximizing down force, but if they are actually functional, doing one end but not the other is definitely not recommended. Actual functional aero requires measured and considerate design effort.

I'm not saying the G42 CF works or doesn't, but if these options actually serve a purpose outside of vanity, then BMW's rules requiring both pieces make perfect sense.

Personally, I don't think they do much outside of being pretty (which means they shouldn't give a rip what you do with them) but that remains to be seen. If they're functional, you should probably do both to maintain best balance.

I seriously doubt this car can hit the speeds needed on most tracks in the US where any meaningful downforce would come into play. And if someone's hitting 130-155 on public streets, well...

If these really work, and they may, then anyone weighing 200 lbs should be able to stand on the splitter with no concerns. Who's going to test it?

I doubt they work any better than the "diffuser" which is the bit on the car I find the most gratuitous but I was suggesting the only sensible reason why BMW might insist on having both pieces on the car. To be blunt, I doubt the car creates any meaningful downforce at all regardless of speed. But if there's a reason for insisting you buy both, that has to be the only justifiable one.

Does anyone have the full updated list with prices? My dealer had a few more listed, but it didn't show any pricing.

Thanks
