That's a real shame, I think until that's resolved and the issue around infrastructure / range I just can't see myself going ev. I mean it's 7 miles just to the local shop so a 14 mile trip 😂

Been a proud owner for two weeks now. Still not running it too hard but it's FAST!

I'm very happy with the options I selected (wheel & hp tire / HK stereo) but the wheels still need to be spaced out slightly, IMO

Great photo. Nice build! Same as the one in transport for me, except I forgot to order red calipers 😢😀

Looks nice, a wise choice. Still got 3+ months wait in the U.K.

I work at Tesla and still buy BMWs hahhaha. They are the ultimate daily driver as a second car. I just love engine noises too much.

It's the weekend so it's time to clean the old girl...

-Added a carbon fiber license plate frame. Just $25, eat your heart out BMW shop.

-God these piano black rocker panels are already scratched up as hell. When winter is over I'm getting them wrapped or painted.

-I like the cerium trim but that middle piece on the kidney grill frame drives me crazy. It's just lazy manufacturing not making them two separate pieces

-The back axle definitely needs spacers or wider tires

Just the nature of the beast with these materials from normal driving. The black plastic doesn't have clear coat like quality paint, so they show swirls super easily. The front door frame part that covered the B pillar on my Golf mk7 also had the same piano black plastic, and in spite of my best efforts, it showed awful swirl marks.

Here are some interior shots for everyone since I think we've seen very little interior shots.

How are those all weather mats? Do you have a link for them?

The BMW floor mats suck in my opinion, but it's better than the carpet ones.

They are too sculpted to hold any liquid effectively, and the shallow sides make it easy for dirt to collect on the carpet. I'm hoping WeatherTech comes out with ones sooner rather than later.

Per the BMW website:

51472473238
BMW All-Weather Floor Mats, Front (48V)
51472461169
BMW All-Weather Floor Mats, (Rear)

My First BMW

I made a video about being a new BMW M240i owner. Not sure if I am allowed post it here so for now I'll share some pictures of my addition to the family. So far, best car I've ever owned. Coming from VW Mk 7.5 R.

Looks great! The M240i has peaked my interest of late as a replacement to my 2019 Golf R as well. If you don’t mind me asking how would you rate the driving engagement and fun factor of the 240 vs the R? I’d like to find this out for myself, but suspect it may be a while before I’m able to find one to test drive.

Saw your video today funny enough.

Nice video and great spec looks similar to what I ordered myself other than I have the M sport belts and the sports seats and different wheels on Michelin Pilot sports 4s due to being in the UK, as I believe you guys don't get access to those ?

Hope you enjoy the car and look forward to more

This car being rear biased is definitely way more fun and this just feels like the next level up. I loved my Golf R so much but driving wise, if you like to get a little sideways now and then you will definitely enjoy. Also power wise the B58 with ZF8 speed is a joy considering I had to let go of manual transmission to obtain this one. Made it easier to swallow.

Thank you so much for watching. Wish I had sport seats and m seat belts but I'm extremely happy with what I ended up with.

I REALLY enjoyed your video! Your excitement about the car is palpable and makes me even MORE excited to get mine (as if that's even possible)!! GLOVIS COSMOS can't pull into Baltimore soon enough!! Also my first for many things, mainly BMW!! I agree that it's a huge milestone and it IS a big deal when you work your ass off for most of your life and are able to work it out so you can buy such an awesome machine; it is truly rewarding!

Thanks again and since I'm now a subscriber of your channel, look forward to more vids as you break in your BEAST!!

Thanks so much for the insights Allen. Also just realized that I've been watching several of your videos already. Nice work there, and congrats on the car!

Is the M door sill illuminated? The carbon fiber M Perf doorsill is not snd probably why it's so cheap. I have it on order but will cancel if the standard M doorsill is illuminated.

As far as I'm aware the door seals are not illuminated standard or carbon.

Do you have a link for the carbon ones by any chance ?

If you could own either the RS3 or M240xi for daily driving, which would you choose? I know your RS3 is tuned so it's not a direct comparison to a stock M240xi, but it would be great to hear your opinion.
