Got a great quote for EVP from Jeff Steel at Passport BMW. Search the forum for his contact info. Significantly cheaper than the quote I got from my dealer.

Keeping an eye on this thread as I'm gonna be in the market for an extended warranty plan soon. My 2011 335is with 27,000 miles is currently at the dealership getting the HPFP replaced and with only year and half on the original warranty I think the piece of minded provided from a extended warranty would be worth it.

I purchased a Zurich warranty for mine for $2000 which is good for 3 yrs 36k miles. Is there a breakdown of the BMW extended warranty('s) and what it covers?

extended warranty

Hey N817, I too am a first time BMW owner and I was required to get an extended warranty when I purchased my car. it was a 36000 mile coverage. I've unfortunately had to use it already on my car. I have almost the full coverage warranty and I've had 2 issues with my car. the coolant reservoir tank cracked and the steering angle sensor went out, two separate instances. My warranty covered one and not the other and overall out of my pocket I paid $2200 out of a total of $4000 of work. I don't really know if they are worth it or not. My sensor ($1300) wasn't covered and that was a huge disappointment for having a warranty. I just recommend researching all the coverage with the different companies in your area and make sure little things that cost an arm and a leg are covered. I have my info out in my car I will get it and let you know the company. I would definitely shop around though!

Extend Warranty

Its not beneficial deal to extend warranty of consumer goods. If they are going to stop working they can anytime and we cant extend warranties to keep fear of failing.
