Various codes after meth install and using E85

The two top codes are the ones I got during testdriving under WOT and normal driving. The code in the end is one I got prior to the meth install and E85 fuelmix.

I have a ESS stage 2 tune , I think for 91 octane.

I mixed E85 and our 98 octane , US 93.

Testing started without any problems , but today during a WOT I got reduced power and rough running engine afterwards , did pull over and stopped engine and started again. Still rough running. Drove home and ran diagnostic and found the 2E35 and 30FF

After erase and restart the engine ran fine and no more codes.

Also I suspected that running 50/50 with 93 and E85 could be the reason for rough running , so I stopped by gas station and topped up with 20 liters more 93.

2E35 injection valve cylinder 6, input signal, capacity interrupt on fully loaded injector

30FF exhaust fume turbo charger, low pressure side, intake pressure too low, P0299 Turbocharger/Supercharger 'A' Underboost Condition.


29F1 fuel pressure, plausibility, adaptive fuel mass beyond valid area, P3283 Fuel Pressure Control Adaptive Fuel Volume Out of Range

Bump for help...

Started up car again and same problem , runs really rough and eventually reduced power.

Could E85 mix of 50/50 have done some damage to an injector ?

Or the running of meth?

Now when I start car , its rough running and misfire code 29D2 on cylinder 6 .

Swap injector next ?

You cannot run E50 mix without having the tune fixed with appropriate scalar like cobb does. Stop using the mix and see if its better. Also invest in cobb tune since u have the vargas as well. You are not using the full potential of the car and its probably tuned wrong now.

Yes , that was my thoughts as well , I topped up with 20 liters of 93 (98) but still I have these rough runnings.

Keep getting that misfire code 29D2

Maybe injector is busted. Does it cold start really bad? If yes its leaking.
Do yourself a favor and dont experiment till you change tune. Really dont understand why u are running ess....
Try to delete codes and adaptations as well

Enrita is right.

Meth had nothing to do with this. It's your heavy E85 mix. You can't run that much if the tune doesn;t account for it. You probably maxed out your trims and ran lean!

Get a COBB AP, I don;t understand either why you bother with ESS even if it is a good tune and all. For the same price AP gives you tons more features and a lot more flexibility. it would have taken you 1 min to enable 50% E85 mix.

I have a full set of used injectors on my core cylinder head over at VAC , when that arrive I will replace #6.

Later when I got some funds to spare , I will have all injectors replaced with new version.

Yes , this was starting once with rough running when started up , engine died and had to start again. Then again during a WOT. Got home , erased codes and started again , all good , ran smooth and no more codes. Then again the morning after , rough running and misfire code 29D2 on cylinder 6.

And for those who ask , I went with ESS cause they are solid plus that they are the only ones that are close to me where I can get it on a dyno for custom tune.

But I will ask to have it unmarried so that I can sell it and start using COBB.

We are back on only 93 (98) octane

ESS , cause I was too set on dyno tuning and they are the only ones in my country to do that. But will go for the COBB once I get a opportunity.

Got a good version of INPA running on my laptop , english

The adaptation delete , is it just to go ahead and delete in menu?

Not much if so , I dont have the cabin filters installed so I should smell gas pretty easily.

What ess really lacks is the ability to log and switch maps . With all the mods u have you got to log especially when using e85 and meth.

You can just disconnect battery for a couple of hours or delete all remove key and wait a bit.

I did look for leaks around #6 but looks dry.

Did see some small oilfume waste in the PVC area , all rear of the head cover.

Could not pinpoint source , but it looked like it was old with little fresh on top.

When u disconnect the battery long time the ecu will reboot as new , all adaptations deleted . Try that first but most likely 1 injector is leaking/busted.

Ok , I erased all codes , did the all adaptations delete and turned off and locked car , started up again 5 min later , still rough and misfire on #6.

Next question , I have a set of used injectors from my rebuilt head over at VAC , should I use them as spares till Im all out and in the meantime save up for a set of new version injectors or sell the set I have and use that to help finance a set of new injectors?

And , can I replace the busted one with new style injector , and replace the rest as I have funds ? Or do I need to replace the busted one with same style / version injector?

Injectors I got today have product code 1353 7537 317

Just replace number 6 but you need the oring , check realoem for parts numbers and code it as well. How does the plug look like? When i got constant missfire on one cylinder i had to get a new engine...

I will pull the plug tomorrow and have a look and swap the injector just to ensure its the injector that is the problem.

For now I dont do anything more , its weekend and Im home alone ...

Remember you have to code the injector and replace the oring! Otherwise it will leak pressure out!
