29f3 code...solutions?...please help low pressure fuel sensor
So i had this pesky 29f3 code pop up so i replaced the low pressure sensor but the code came back, i see many others are having this issue so i wanted to get the community to weigh in.
if you had this code, please post if you are running a tune, which tune, and a solution, how did you get the code to clear. Thanks in advance. |

FBO running Procede 2.5 with meth/ nitrous. Had this code for years and car ran perfect. Had this code since procede started reading codes and everytime I cleared the sucker it came right back. Left it alone for awhile until it totally failed and the car wouldn't run anything past 4500k rpms. If I drove normal it would run fine. Once I go past 4000-4500k rpms the car would buck and feel like someone slammed on the brakes and then it would feel like its running on 3 cylinders which it was as there was also a 29dc code for injector cutoff. Diagnose the LP fuel sensor was totally wack with INPA reading the Measurement Block 6 readings and it showed the sensor was totally bricked as the values from the readings were not moving at all which a functional sensor would be hovering around 5000 Hpa. Changed out the sensor and Cleared the error and car is running better than ever. Code has not come back at all. Fuel trims also seemed to have stabilized from logs but my car has never run better then after changing out this sensor. Could you possibly have the luck of installing a new sensor that was faulty again?? This is quite possible and If it was my car I would change it out to another one just to rule it out. Good luck

I used INPA and used Measurement Block 6 readings which has a LP sensor reading. A normal sensor should be running at ~5000 Hpa. Mine was pegged 7403 but it didn't fluctuate at all which it suppose to. Here is my thread on it. I originally thought for sure it was a HPFP issue. I honestly think you caught a bad break a installed a brand new sensor that is defective..If it was my car I would try and get another one and install it onto the car and see if this get rid of the code once and for all...

I have a 2008 335i E90 and have had this code ever since installing catless DP's. I just installed a brand new low pressure fuel sensor cleared the codes and the code still pops up on my p3 vent gauge. Stumped as to what to do next. I am running Procede V5 Rev 3.

I replaced my low pressure sensor recently after getting 29F3 despite several resets. I had also been getting a 2AAF, fuel pump plausability, for a while. A week later I replaced the low pressure fuel pump. No such codes any more.

There are multiple 29F3 threads going right now. This is obviously becoming a very common issue with these cars
I have also had the 29F3 code present for a few weeks. I have been getting pro tuned by PTF and we decided to put it on hold until I got the sensor replaced. The car runs fine but the logs show an actual of 145.01 at all times. Jake wants to make sure that we have everything running properly before we move forward. My new sensor will be in this week and I will report back to see if the code is gone and requested numbers are being met. If this doesn't work, I may need to swap out my LPFP. |

i finally got time to change my lpfs a few weeks ago. have driven the car a few times since and no cutting out
i haven't checked/reset codes, but it's not giving me symptoms so i'm assuming the issue was fixed. thanks steve for all your input on this subject!

Just got 29F3 code the other day, and it wont clear. I am guessing my sensor is going bad! Car runs perfectly fine as of now... It really sucks this is such a bitch to change and i feel like i should do valve cleaning service also since you have to remove the intake manifold.

Where can I order the sensor from? Im stationed in Germany and paying anything in euros is a bitch... I'm having the same problems as well. It seems like this time of the year all of the bimmers seem to have a "auto f*ck up" date programed or something. Too many people with the same issues.
