So what voids warranty?

Yeah. lol, so what voids warranty? I mean, if it physically changes the appearance of a BMW but doesn't affect the performance, does that keep our warranty (i.e. Rims, body kit)? I went on search, and honestly, i looked through the title of the threads, but found nothing about what voids the warranty.

Oh and yeah, if location makes a difference, in live in SoCal, and most of the time I go to the Bakersfield dealer.

this is one of the most asked question, please do us a favor and search more carefully, you'll find your answer.... VERY EASILY

cliff notes: appearance = should be no worries, performance mods = maybe, some argue the dealer has to prove that the mod(s) caused the damage...etc
you got to pay to play, if you're scared of voiding warranty, don't mod

Here are some examples. Say you lower your car and your ball joint goes out, they can say that it was due to the car being lowered. Another example is that say you have a cold air intake, and you run it through a flooded street and damaged your engine (hydrolocking), they can blame that it was caused by your cold air intake and won't warranty the work needed to fix the parts.
