It works really well, and integrates with the car as if it’s the built-in unit so the navigation arrows and distance, street names, etc. show up on the dash and HUD, just like the buitl-in nav, you can speak to your phone by holding the button or not, just voice activated, the albums and playlists are all integrated and show on dash etc. It’s great. We don’t need the built-in stuff actually lol |

Apple CarPlay is far better than iDrive. I suggest you try it.

But to be fair, I am getting every option available with the 6MT except bucket seats, and I feel like this car is a stretch for me. I would be completely happy with an M240,and happier in some senses, but I want the last BMW manual. |

The rest sounds right, but Carplay in the HUD? There was a review that explicitly said CarPlay Nav didn't work with the HUD. Have you confirmed that?

That said, I’m not sure on the lights now. There were things I wasn’t aware of as I’m learning here. I thought it was just that they aimed at the direction like my current lights do. At <35 mph, I don’t think that really matters. So, the jury is still out on the lights for me. |

For me, it’s a safety feature. Being able to spot deer sooner can save your ass around here in the twisties. Plus, when summer is over daylight is done at 4-5 pm and then it’s super dark. So I get a lot of use of the lights. Figure out your use case and decide. Nothing wrong with not choosing an option or two if you don’t use it. They’re not free, and the car doesn’t have to be “fully loaded” (none are anyway). |

Do you know if the tires are the same size on both wheels options? (Bi color and black)
I think 275 front / 285 rear. |

I had 100% certainty I wanted burnished. Once I saw it in person (on a black car) I immediately turned 180. But I might be a bit biased since I didn’t get a choice and I had to like the black wheels. But I really do. And it helps with the brake dust too. You can’t go wrong I don’t think. Especially with a light coloured car, the black will look great. It’s one of those things that don’t photograph well as well. |
