I'm just quoting the sku MSS told and sold me.

Others are also listing the SKU I mentioned (02aBMWMG28) for the G42

A few of your competitors are also listing the SKU I mentioned (02aBMWMG28) for the G42 - take look:

https://www.evolveautomotive.com/mss...ies-m240i-g42/

So either MSS have it wrong AND your competitors have it wrong or there's something else going on.
A good way to solve this dispute would be to take both of those part numbers to MSS and ask them what the differences are. No need to go back and forth too much about it

Ben at RG is hugely experienced, I dont doubt his knowledge and not wanting to dispute anything he says. He's installed a set on a G42 and I've installed a set on my G42 so they're obviously compatible
- I assume they're actually the exact same kit under 2 different SKU's for whatever reason.

Your assumption is probably correct. I'll bet both part #'s work fine, maybe one is a slightly older version with a different component / paint / who knows. Not worth worrying about as long as both fit and work as expected!

Either way, the springs are sick, and I'll probably get them as my main suspension upgrade some time soon. Just waiting to see how they react with the adjustable dampers............ The concern is they will cause faster wear (just no idea how much faster).

You don’t need to run G42 specific suspension. They all share the same part number. The part number you guys listed are for the the regular kit. The extra low kit has a different number,I have them in hand. Most of these cars share similar parts when it comes to engine and suspension

Mss will always tell you what they want YOU to hear.

So based on the information shared in this thread, all of the G20 m340 xdrive springs/coilovers should work on the g42 m240 xdrive no problem?

Also - I had a random thought while watching the MSS video of them installing their kit on an A90 GR Supra. The suspension parts look identical to our G42 m240. All the while the MSS kit for the Supra is roughly $300 cheaper…🤔
