Emissions help (out of stater)
So long story short ill be reigstering my car and all in maryland this weekend... im fully catless dp and vrsf catback exhaust with a mhd tune on e30.
I have already ordered my dp fix from vrsf..now hard will it be to pass the emissions.. here in ny i didnt have a problem. Ive been without the car for a week going onto two so really eager to get her back on the road. Any help will be appreciated, thanks |

Dont panic .
Install the fix and switch to map 0 ( stock map ). Reset the codes and drive for at least 150 miles ( you can see when the readiness monitors are ready in the MHD app ). Once they are ready, just go for the test. Once you pass, remove the fix and switch to your tune again. About maryland state inspection, tint has to be removed, otherwise nobody cares about your loud exhaust. |

Map 0 is if you were using JB4. If you're using MHD only you shouldn't need the DP fix as long as MD allows for 1 monitor to be pending as it does in VA. Dont clear your codes, just go in and see how it goes.
If DP fix is needed it is recommended to remove it after the emissions test because you dont want the ecu reading the false switching data all the time. |
