BMW will not limit the M2, but if history repeats itself, they "likely" won't produce as many M2s as they will M3/4s just like they did with the F87.

Love the design and have a deposit down because it's a 450hp RWD with a stick (!!!), but I'm still so lukewarm on the colors.

Of course, it's all personal preference, but for me, white and gray are too tame. I do like how it looks in black, but I need more color in my life. I'd love a nice, bold red, but Toronto Red at best is too orange and at worst, looks like sun-faded paint to me.

That leaves Zandvoort Blue, and in some picture I absolutely love it, but in other pictures it looks alternately too washed out or too pastel/electric.

I'm new to the world of BMW, but if I waited a year, how likely would it be that we'd see other colors?

You nailed it regarding the exterior colors!

It is highly doubtful we will see any additional colors until the LCI.

It’s a bargain, too, if you consider how much Honda fanboys are forking out for the new Civic Type R. Most paid $60-70k for a Civic!

Nailed it - this is exactly how I ended up with ZB. Trusting my gut and hoping it pays off. If nothing else, at least I know it’s an exclusive paint to the G87 and will at least make it special in one way or another.

But special on the bad side is pretty friggin' bad. That's a serious coin flip.

Love the new G87. Going with AW or TR, 6MT, carbon roof, TBD if CB or not, also all the CF stuff is high priced...may go aftermarket for that. It will be lowered...going to swap as many parts from my G80 modifications as possible.

Swap of parts from G80 to G87:

1. Edelweiss LT3 20", only change is I'm going to powder coat them Bronze/Gold (more like the CSL color vs. 1000M, more gold, brighter)...same bolt pattern.

2. HAS MSS moves over (if possible)

3. PSI mid-pipe swaps over (may have to shorten it a bit, but should be possible, same model give or take)

4. JB4 moves over (should work, essentially same motor)

? - I think AW or TR with these LT3 gold wheels will bring me back to my love affair with a E90 325is with 3piece gold BBS...real question si AW or TR assuming these wheels?

Someone in my area drives a “Let it Go” Blue Porsche Taycan and it catches my eye each time, in a good way. I guess I just have a good feeling about this shade of blue in general.

I originally specd AW but changed it to TR because there are just so many white cars and unless it's covered in race livery looks boring IMO. I was originally going to do graphics but after thinking it through that's a little too "boy racer" for me and I switched to TR.

I also changed black interior to cognac for pretty much the same reason, black was boring (and hot) and the M highlight seats don't match the caliper or paint so it seems like a bad choice IMO.

If I ordered two of these one would have carbon pack. But as it stands with just one, I'm going normal sunroof because I like paint on top of my car.

Just a friendly FYI, but the blue at the top of the headrest on the M Highlight seats is a very close match to the blue used on the brake calipers.

Edit, the silver/light gray deviated stitching on the M Highlight seats is a nice touch and currently the main attraction for me. As mentioned either by you or someone else the Cognac deviation in the center of the door panels and the black seat backs is a little much. Cognac is also offered on the G42 and I would prefer to have an interior color that is exclusive to the G87 since I am not getting it via my exterior color choice of TR.

Yeah, I should have explicitly stated the outer portion of the seat which is most visible to me.

It did not bother me as much as the door panel until you pointed it out. Now it sticks out like a sore thumb.

Why bother with the JB4. No offense but thats not a tune, its, well (and no disrespect meant), a waste of money and time.

There is definitely something odd happening. I don't think BMW wants to sell the M2.

Let me explain.

Here in Belgium, when there used to be a new M-product launch you got an invite, dinner, closed room, the whole shebang...

The only invite I'm getting is for EV's. Nothing on the new M2, not even a fun mail or a brochure to drool over.

Not one message or call from the sales guy or dealership. They don't even mention the new car when I'm in for a service, not a word (and they know I have to order a new car very soon).

The buzz is zero... sub- zero. Is BMW not proud of the new M2?

That or BMW doesn't want to sell me an M- product.

So disappointed BMW
