Displaying Icons on Navigation Maps

I have a 2008 e93 with the navigation system.
Is there a way to have the stored addresses show up as icons on the map display?
I used to have a G35 and I all the locations I had stored (home, friends houses, office etc.) showed up as permanent icons on the map with a symbol I could choose.
Can this be done on BMW's system?

Not really, but there is a workaround... If you want to burn your own Nav disk, you can add your own POIs, and put those addresses in them. Look at the "Speed Camera" threads for tips

For the record, thats more of a hack than a work-around.
