Curiosity would the JBD cause anything related to the injectors? Although the rough idle says injectors.

No signs JBD would cause issues, if it did, it would be the pump, not the injectors. Also, doubt his injectors are bad at all, even though fault code is for injectors. Hint: DDE... When these individual injectors are tested they pass all tests. Never seen a BMW report posted where it actually says the faulty injector was actually faulty when individually tested. |

Mine was in for 5.5 months! I had it back for a week and it developed a severe exhaust leak. It sounded like a tractor. That was fixed in one day.
I have put about 3k miles on it since then. Last week, the same exhaust leak came back...... ![]() |

My SES came on this morning for the first time, but the engine seems to be running fine otherwise. I haven't had any issues with this car previously except for the squealing belt and EGR recall (done at the same time) at ~20k miles.
40k miles on the car now and still under factory warranty, but I guess this is how it begins. About 1.5 years ago my office moved closer to my house so my commute is much more punishing on a diesel. From 20 miles of mostly highway down to 9 miles of mostly traffic. So my average MPG is about 22-23mpg per tank.

oh, I see that it was not just me without a car for half a year lol. They worked on the car for 6 months, test driving all the time to make sure all is fine, two hours after I picked up I got another engine light and error "exhaust gasses too hot" for which they have no clue why lol. I am starting to wonder how they came up with all those error messages and why dealers have no clue how to deal with them or what is causing them lol

Hopefully I dont have to be in that long, my friend has a tech inside BMW so they'll take care of me in that aspect. I'll be reverting this car back to stock today and setting up an appointment to drop it off. After that its a waiting game. Hopefully I get a loaner this time lol.
My car is driven mostly city so it beats my engine I still manage 26.7mpg

No one was working on my car the overall majority of the time. My CBU issues happened to correspond with BMW's inability to source parts. I waited for engineering to develop a method to clean the intake instead of replacing.
Once the new methods of repair were developed and all of the tools were shipped, the procedure only took a week or so. |
