Which exhaust setup will be louder?
I am currently running the BMW performance exhaust and like it a lot. I do wish it was a hint louder. I'd call it a 4-10. I have catless downpipes ready to be installed and have searched but wanted to know which would be louder. My stock setup with BMW pe or catless DP's and stock mufflers? I have an n54 e92. I wish there was a middle ground but from what I've heard the catless DP's and BMW pe will be way too loud! And I def don't want drone. I'm afraid the stock exhaust with catless DP's will not be loud enough for my taste. I do want to keep the sec cats for smell reasons. TIA.

Stock exhaust with catless DP's are not loud at all. It will be quieter than your current set up.

Didn't want to leave an open ended thread.
I ended up installing the VRSF catless DP's this weekend and left the BMW PE mufflers on the car. No drone! I can hear the exhaust a little more when cruising with the windows up but no drone. Now, when driving it is def louder and WOT is screaming loud. Obviously I'm not WOT all the time so when I want it loud it comes alive. I'm very happy with it at this point. Normal driving with BMW PE was 4-10 now with catless dp's it's prob 6/7-10. |
