Battery replacement question in 335d
Is it OK to replace my OE lead acid battery with a Mercedes AGM battery
100 mAh and 900 CCA? My MB friend got it for $171 The OE is 90mAh and 720 CCA. Does the Toolset32 provide provision to switch to AGM 100 mAh? Also AGM does not need a vent? Any suggestions? as my OE battery is going south almost after 5 years. |

No there's only a 90 or 92Ah setting for AGM. There's a 110 for lead acid I believe. As long as that battery fits, you'd be fine to code it as a 90ah AGM.
I would check fitment because the 90Ah AGM barely fits; fitment was the hardest part of the job, specifically working with the mounting bracket. Finally, the AGM does need to vent. There is a vent tube which connects to a vent port on the side of the battery.
