Another V2.0.2 $.02
Just loaded up the 2.0.2 and the first impression was definitely a noticeable loss in the low end torque (I miss it ) but I can definitely feel the ecu adapting to the car and the recently installed ITG. Warmed the engine up and got to let it loose a little today and all the power is definitely still there. Can't wait to see how the car feels after 50 miles when it's fully adapted, which is probably when I'll be installing my RPI FMIC and the ecu will have to adapt all over again... but what can ya do.
No codes or problems, which seems to be the overall story of my ProCede experience. I can't wait to get a longer cord and start datalogging and optimizing my settings... hopefully I'll have some room to improve (xi different settings? who knows?) Also did the speed limiter defeat while I had the ECU open, I'll get back to you guys as soon as I have a chance to get up past 135... on the dyno of course... The serial port to computer connection is probably the best aspect of the Procede unit, the fact that it allows for software upgrades and user changing settings without actually having to install new hardware is a huge + Well done Shiv/ Vishnu!

Good to hear from a fellow XIer
I like low end power, but I think it takes time for the ECU to adjust. I thought the same thing when did 1.47 but it got better as it adapted.

360lb-ft at the wheels on the default TQ settings isn't exactly 'torque shy'
Especially when it's a flat plateau and not a brief bump lasting 200-300rpm. Shiv |

Shiv, but isn't the 360 lbs ft on the default settings with your catback exhaust?
I'd guess that exhaust is worth 10 rwtq. So I'm guessing 345-350 rwtq on a stock car on 91 Octane right? That's a noticeable difference from the 370-380 rwtq of v2.01 But for many of us, 350-360 rwtq is just fine. It's the higher HP that we want. Remember when you installed my original PROcede v1.2 at the original LA PROcede dyno day....I asked you if you could tune my car with a bit less torque, but a bit more hp? You said, "why would you want that?" Well, thanks for delivering the lower torque but higher HP tune I originally asked for when I was one of the first 25 people in the country to have a production PROcede. Thanks again. However, if I had the xi and it's AWD, I wouldn't mind having 20-30 more rwtq as you don't have to worry about traction. |

The datalog from down4it shows perfect boost behavior. A lot of things in the map have changed since I posted the troubles I had with the 2.0.2ATbeta26-11 map, when I look at my latest datalogs. A 93 octane 360whp / 360wtq map ( or ~ 350 / ~ 350 if Shiv got the numbers with his exhaust ) should feel very linear and powerful. My compliments to Shiv / Vishnu for achieving that. I always wanted such a map but expected the need of DP's to achieve such a tune. Now it's here, at least for manual cars. - Eugen |
