Cobb gurus, please help me out!

Hey, gents.

Since installing my AP, I had been having a few issues which I'm in the process of working out. I'm hoping some of you can help me here.

Began with running the Stage 1 Aggressive map on an otherwise bone stock car ('09 xi auto w/23k). Issues started with a cyl 2 misfire code and CEL which was cured with a new coil and change of plugs. Then I noticed some hesitation under heavy throttle and threw a P2a2d code (low fuel pressure system). I've since switched to the Sport map and it seems to be pulling very strong and to my liking. Hoping that it is just sh*tty 93 octane in my area causing the issues on the other map.

I will admit, I'm very new to tuning and reading logs. But from what I see, things seem to be in check. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Log is from a 4th gear pull.

Thanks for the input. Obviously I'm looking to see it hovering around 72ish, but can you help me to understand your conclusion?

Everything else seems to be in check from what I can see. Anything else I should be aware of?

Thanks!

I've done my fair share of searching on the topic and have seen people with LPFP psi dropping down to the low 50's/40's under WOT, which made me think things on my end might be ok. I hope this is the case.

I think his response was probably based on the symptoms and code you go. Your best bet would be to post a log of the aggressive map.

I guess this is the sport map log and not the log of the aggressive map when you had the hesitation and P2a2d?

Yes sir.

I think I may just enjoy this map for the time being. I'll give the aggressive another shot after filling up with gas from a different station.

So can we agree that for the time being the LPFP pressure looks alright, along with the rest of the log? Again, I thank you all for your help.

It could be bad gas...I had LPFP issues and my symptoms were not the same...my car would just stall out and I couldn't keep it running. I'd do what you said and try it again when you refill. If it's happening again, take a log and post it up, that'll make it easier to see

Here are two logs of the Aggressive map. No hiccups at all during the pull that I noticed. Done from 3rd gear which seemed to be very short.

I noticed the LPFP is getting down into the low 50's now... Give me some advice here.

I'm not good at reading logs but here is my log on the same map if you would like to compare

http://www.datazap.me/u/moswissa/sta...og=0&data=1-22

Can anyone explain why my boost fluctuates up and down 1-2 PSI throughout he entire pull ? Compared to OP, his boost line looks pretty smooth in starting to think something is wrong

It seems to be pulling strong and the logs seem to look alright (aside from LPFP psi in the 50's)... Give me some input, boys.

I'll be keeping an eye on the fuel pressure for sure. Here's two more short pulls.

if you compare those logs to mine it seems like your pump is off by 10+. I'm not an expert so idk what that means

I believe it is on it's way out, so I'm going to purchase one just for peace of mind.

From what I know, it only becomes a concern when it begins dropping below 50 psi... so I'll be keeping a close eye on it.

I'm monitoring things daily, so hopefully all stays in check. Then I can place my stage 2 + orders.

I had the exact same issues with codes and coils, etc but it ended up be the lpfp sensor not the pump (is what I was told), maybe check that?

nice! I'm sure you are fine have fun!

why not get a PTF instead of the COBB maps. thats the best way to juice the most power out of the car without wording about timing/fueling issues

Sorry if this is a dumb question. PTF is an acronym for Pro Tune ??? thanks in advance. I'm new to tuning. Just got on COBB Sport Map myself so I'm curious.

I think I will eventually go that route. I'm going to try and enjoy each of the stages for a little while at least, but FMIC is definitely next on my list.
