N55 recall owners not near a dealer

For the owners of an N55 with the Vanos Bolt recall letter, AND off of the standard BMW warranty, AND a good drive away from the closest dealer, what are you going to do to get your car to the dealer?

I am hesitant to drive ours 650 km to the nearest dealer, as it stalls on a daily basis, both at rest and at speed. I don't even think we should be driving the car at all, anywhere.

Has anyone contacted BMW Roadside Assistance to see if they will cover a free tow even though the 4 year Roadside Assistance has expired?

I'll be calling Monday, but was wondering if anyone else has experience.

Drive it.

If you are lucky, the bolt will fly off and get caught in the valve train and cause the motor to explode.

You might get a free motor from the deal!
