Looking for dealer in VA
Hey.
I'm moving to VA in a couple of months, and was looking to buy a new BMW there. Any of you know any good dealers around fairfax VA area? Can do something like +- 50 miles or so. Just looking for a dealer around that area. Thanks in advance. -Josh |

I always recommend James Duerbeck at BMW of Fairfax, as he is an enthusiast and has been working there for probably 15 years!! Very smart, and knows everything about bmw's

You need to find a sales person you like, I also prefer dealing with people who let you test drive cars on your own (sterling does this, more than the others). I don't have anyone in mind that has gone above and beyond for me, but here some input on locations.
BMW Fairfax facilities aren't that great, but have a better stock than Alexandria. Service department is across the street, and sucks. Alexandria has the nicest service department, and the most likelihood of getting service advisory you will go back to, time and time again. But again, their stock isn't always the best. Sterling is ok. Cheaper real estate makes it easier to have larger showrooms and stock. If you are really open for time, I like to play a game with the market. Every sales group will have "the board." It will show everyone's progress for the year. there are only two type of people you should be looking for. The guy on the board who is trailing, but only by a little bit. This guy is still in the fight and needs every dollar to catch up to his quota. The guy at the bottom has no shot, unless he hits it big. His margins need to be bigger than others and will be pushing you hard. the second guy to look at is the leader. He is most likely in "multipliers" which means he hit his quota for the month/quarter and the company is incentives him even more to keep stock moving. He is paid more per dollar, so is more concerned about closing, and closing fast. |
