Avitar Problem

OK, so I am trying to put an avitar on through the User CP area. I keep getting this: "Upload failed due to failure writing temporary file." The size of the pic is 200x150, so it should be fine right? Actually, just tried to change my signature pic and add a list of mods and got the same message. Anyone know how to fix this?

there's also a kb size requirement I believe, try to save it as a different type of file (jpg, png), etc.
