My thoughts on Race Precision Inc.
Just wanted to vent some frustration on not always be in the same city, sometimes not even in the same state of my project vehicles. In the beginning stages of the build, when everyone is motivated about making the project the hottest vehicle in the industry, you get the false sense of hope that everything will work out smoothly. So, you spend time building a bad-ass 3D AutoCAD rendering, develop an EXCEL spreadsheet with timelines and buffers, follow-up with Sponsors and performance shops alike….and yet your project still arrives to SEMA just before they shut the bay doors. You get frustrated since you feel no one has the sense of urgency as you do, and at times get the notion that your build is low on everyone else’s priority list.
Then just when you fall into the trap in believing no one in the industry has even half of the professionalism you yourself bestow, you get surprised by an “Excalibur” of the industry. For my 335i project, the Excalibur was Eloy from Race Precision Inc (RPI). Like normal sponsors for SEMA projects of this nature bound for mass media exposure, RPI provided a first class product for the project. But the support did not stop there…Eloy, has gone above and beyond “the call of duty” (yes, I was in the Military, BAT-tab, Hooah). This guy oozes responsibility, and backs his product with an iron clad challenge for anyone to physically view their testing of new products. It is people like Eloy and his staff which invigorate me to fully support my commitment to my sponsors and continue promoting their products. Things RPI has done on their own volition • Dyno tested other products • Fully inspected vehicle and found bent rims….remember, they provide products for the engine did not have to look at the suspension • Allow other sponsors to test products with the in house dyno • Developed a new product for the car • Constantly is in direct communication with me, almost on a daily basis • Makes Cool shirts |

Dont think that air scoop is gonna do much good..you're still trying to force all that air through the small intake tubing..can only push so much air through there..

Ive done my research and been to the other forums you linked..that 7whp gain is coming from the drop in filters..THAT is factual and proven.. Theres a reason why there are so many aftermarket intakes out there..the piping going into the airbox is much too restrictive..just a thought..find a way around that and I think you'll see even better gains

Eloy and Race Precision are vendors a notch above. You guys should see the work they are doing for the M5 / M6s.... The products in themselves are cool but the support is awesome.

Really?? Because you're advertising them with a BMC filter, both on this website and EVERY M5/M6 board that there was links to:
Nice try though... RPi Ram Air Kit includes. - BMC air filters - RPi Ram Air Scoops - Mounting Screws + instructions again, that was for M5/M6 vehicles...my 335i gained 7hp so far with the first prototype |

Have you ever felt how much air can be shoved through a 2" wide tube? Those scoops intake scoops will surely do some good. Beause as it stands, with the stock intake scoops, the intake is not taking in 1/2 the volume of air it (probably) easily could. BTW, to the OP, thanks for the info. Glad you are happy with RPI |

I met Eloy today and can also vouch for him as well. He has a plethora of information on NA cars to Turbo vehicles and prides himself in only selling quality products that actually give you gains. He dynos all his products prior to even selling them. I found this out the hard way as I was drooling over his shipment of BMC filters that he didn't want to release until he sees the figures on his dyno.

btw, i have been trying to find a way to reach RPI. i live at 9,000 feet, and think that the air scoops would really help (my IC certainly did). RPI stated re the air scoops and the 335 "we have some beta testers with it now". i think at my altitude, i could certainly test these air scoops for ANYONE at altitude. please advise my by PM how to reach RPI. thannks

I do not have the BMC filter
When I highlighted "again that was for the M5/M6"....that is what it meant. The kit was for the M5/M6
I also stated "my 335i gained 7hp so far with the first prototype"....not first prototype and filter... And Finally, Eloy clearly stated "The filters are STOCK." So, are we clear.....7hp gained from first Prototype 335i Air Scoops from Race Precision Inc., created, designed, and in research by Eloy......without any aftermarket filters...which means the STOCK filters from the BMW manufacturing line are still in |
