updating procede without laptop
I've come across a bit of a predicament, let's see if Shiv or anyone else can help me out. I've got a procede with V2 harness coming my way, but the procede itself has 1.47 in it. I want to go straight to 2.0.2 when I install but don't have a working laptop available to me.
So now for the question, is it possible to update the procede without a laptop? My thoughts were to just supply power and ground to the procede itself using a 12V power supply, then update the software with my desktop computer. Anybody see any problems with this? Also, anybody have a used laptop they want to sell for cheap? I can't wait to get it installed as my car is otherwise stock.

Yes, you can if you use a power supply. In fact, that is how I uploaded the V1.47 map when I purchased my PROcede.
That, or if you are near the Atlanta area, I would be happy to load it up for you. |

With the way maps come and go... I would just temporary move the computer out to the car area.. Be sure to leave the Procede 9 pin serial cable outside the ECU box. Or get a really cheap laptop off ebay.
