Exhaust advice (currently muffler/2nd cat delete)

So I currently have a muffler and secondary cat delete on my 330i. It sounds mean, loud, and really raw. I love it but I'm coming to a point in my life where I need to have a more acceptable tone for my DD. I love the raw growl the secondary cat delete gave me, but my main goal is to reduce the drone at the minimum cost. Anyone have any suggestions? Maybe throw another resonator where the muffler or secondary cat was? Any advice is appreciate. Thanks.

Put your stock muffler back on and delete the resonator.

Would that even make a difference with the muffler back on?

Resonator delete is part of what makes the PE louder than stock. Deleting second cats makes it even louder.
So, Stock muffler on, deleting resonator and second cats will make sound. It will probably have backfire and burbling with the second cats out.
Not sure how loud this setup is, but it seems like a very cost efficient way of getting sound+power from this car. Especially if your doing it just for sound, a little power is just an added benefit.

i have open headers and got a PE w/midpipe. it was mean, nasty, and LOUD!! unfortunately, i'm where you're at, and it was just too much for me. i had to keep the revs real low driving around my neighborhood. put my stock exhaust back on, deleted the resonator and love the sound. still has a nice tone, but subtle.

i second the notion of putting your stock exhaust back on.
