Dyno for Dinan Software?
For those of you who have the software or are going to have it soon, do you plan on doing a dyno of it anytime soon?
I'm really curious to see what kind of power it puts out and if the dyno numbers you get are congruent to the Dinan claims. I'm thinking about getting this tune, but I don't wanna pay 2k if it's going to not put out what it promises. |

I'm definitely interested in this tune, however I am waiting till spring and also want to see what the dyno numbers look like on 91 octane fuel. As Dinan has marketed the numbers on 93 and we don't have that in Colorado.

Are you sure that they use 93 octane? I went to Dinan today in Morgan Hill, CA and we dont have 93 in CA. Where did you recieve these numbers?

i believe dinan mixed with race fuel and pump gas together or they bought it from online source.

I have an appointment to get the Dinan Flash installed on Monday. Assuming I stick with the plan, I've also made appointments before and after the flash with 3 pulls each (3 before, 3 after the flash).
The only thing I'm worried about is warranty-related... I'm going to call my SA today and ask some questions. I have the 4-year 50k mile warranty that comes with the car, but I also got the 2-year extended warranty that covers parts for the first 6 years I have the car. With the Dinan flash, I think my parts are only covered by Dinan for the first 4 years 50k miles, but those additional 2 years will NOT be covered... making me kind of reluctant to get the flash. Any thoughts on this?

I see what you all are saying, and I've had those same thoughts as well--
Sometimes when I'm high on MJ and superparanoid, I wonder--will BMW ever FIND a way to detect a piggyback? (This, of course, will reveal my infinitely minute knowledge of piggyback engineering) With a simple software update on our cars, I feel like even a couple years down the road, they will be able to detect the modified signals sent to the ECU by a piggyback. Can someone please bring me down from my high?
