Just found the video on Bavarian Autosports DIY video's was downloaded 5 days ago, I cant link it here...it says they are working on a kit for the 335d because it is slighty different to clean than a 335i...

Keep in mind that at my local BMW shop, CBU cleaning on a 335i costs $300, but on a 335d it is $700.

I'm sure the process and price will be much more drawn out. Go meth and never look back ;-)

Meth is good but it still needs to be cleaned, my BMW dealer is $800 for CBU cleaning so $300 is a price I have not heard of as of yet...335i not sure how much they want for a 335d...

That is the set-up my nephew bought, he is going to try it Tuesday on a 335I, Harbor freight does not sell the BMW attachment to do the runners...

Don't you still need a different adapter for the wand due to our intake ports being shaped differently than that of the gassers? I've heard that it is this piece that's hard to find.

Yes, the kit has it from Bavarian, the Harbor freight one does not, the diesel kit will be available soon, I'm sure they sell just the adaptor...

i am willing to buy one in NY area (nj/ct/pa) once the diesel version comes out and anyone is welcome to use it but all i ask is help me with doing my car (cpo 37k miles but recently had a shop take off the intake to check for cbu and it was confirmed. no cel but i dont want to wait for cel).

in the end, even with this kit how do we clean the intake manifold since bmw doc says it needs to be sent out.

Meh...without sending the intake out for cleaning you're only doing half the job. I suspect once that is done you'll save about $200 in the end. Not worth it IMO

I would guess that it's ~1/3 the total cost of what the dealer charges for the job. You'd have to call around in your area.

Not to mention all the fasteners and gaskets you'll have to replace.

I'd say quite a few oil changes too after that to ensure the walnut pieces are fully removed.

Same here, I'm going to buy one and let my local shop use it, they are going to clean my car for free, they can use the blaster, and if I ever need it back they will buy it from me or just give it back, plus now they can clean some of the BMW's-audi, that need it, it's a start...
