Memory/heated seats
Hi all,
After my post where I fitted black SE cloth to my LCI, I have just had the bargain of the century & picked up a complete, heated, memory, full Dakota leather, headliner, trims, centre console, heated seat switch panel, basically a complete interior... for £150! & It's mint! My question is, how do I go about the heated/electric function - Is the loom in place & just needs coding? Will I be able to fit them and adjust the seat position manually until it's coded? Any help greatly appreciated! Here's my purchase: ![]() |

I thought so too.
I'm not fussed about having the memory function, or heating infact - it's more that I need to be able to move the seat so the position is right. I also need to find a way of getting this lot from Newark to Norfolk! |

They seems to be SE seats?
Potentially from a stolen car if you look at the price. You car will not have any wiring for electrical seats. You will have to start from the scratch and spend good 6-8 hours just laying the cables. You research on how to do it, and coding makes is multiple days job. Not impossible to do though.

So there's no way to manually adjust the position of the seats at all? As that renders them completely useless if I can't even move them to my position? Oh well, I'll flog them on for a cheeky profit then! |

I can tell you from experience that we got everything in your pic apart from the roof lining in an E90.
We removed the rear bench and seat back and left them at home. Then put the front seats in through the back doors (sounds mad but works!) Feed them in headrest first and turn them to get the base in, then lie them flat on their back so you end up with the seat base against the back or your front seats (hope that makes sense) Obviously take some blankets to protect things where needed. Then you can fill up the rest of the space with the other bits if you pack them carefully. If the roof lining is no different to yours I'd leave it behind! Not sure how you could fit that in aside from fitting it while you're there |

I don't need the headlining so will leave it. I still need to work out whether or not I can get these seats to function even just to adjust them. I'm even thinking a positive & negative just to give power to the seats... can this then enable the adjustment? Cheers |

you need a canbus signal to the drivers seat as well as power and earth, i stole this from the Heater controls and just run a bit of twisted pair cable from there. i ordered the correct pins from the dealer and added this into the multi-plug too (apart from the canbus signal, which i didnt know about until after i had them installed and had to be done ad-hoc) the passenger seat will work with just power, but the drivers seat will work for about 30seconds on power alone, i presume the controller does some sort of "sanity" check and if it doesnt get a response from the car, it cuts power. |

So I picked this lot up today & fitted it all bar the front seats, as I plugged them in to see if they powered up by any chance & realised they're pre LCI so haven't got the active headrests... I now have this on my dash.. Bugger..
![]() SO, as they're pre-LCI, memory, and heated.. None of which are any good without extra time & money, I'm thinking the easiest way is going to be to strip down my grey cloth & remove the upholstery, and swap the leather covers onto them - anyone got any other suggestions? |
