Sounds like a budgie is tweeting from the wheels
Hi guys,
I'm getting what I can only describe as a budgie tweeting from my front wheels. Not all the time, but when it happens if I apply the brakes the noise stops. Any ideas ?

Must be brake related as, like yours, it stops if I apply the brake even very lightly!!!
I'm gonna strip them firm one weekend and give them a good clean and see what it's rubbing on |

Funnily enough, I've also been getting like a squelching noise from my near side rear wheel, the only way I can describe the sound is it's like the tyre has got double sided sticky tape round half of the wheel, so as it moves I hear a squelching noise as the wheel moves round...............any ideas??

All of yours sounds like a jammed stone or grit in between the pad and disc, had it on my work van last week when it rained hard and there laying that shitty spray on tarmac everywere near me atm

Could be all minor of things from dirty sliders to small stone etc wedged on the backplate / disc & pad, describing it is difficult, I'd wager that a strip clean will solve the issue sliders are normally the culprit but a lack of copper grease on the back of the pads (we've seen plenty of these) especially when it's hot'n'dusty as it is now can also play a part.
Failing that if you do discover a budgie lodged in there somewhere I suspect it was looking for some cuttlefish and discovered your disc was a suitable replacement for sharpening it's beak |
