Need code help - 1146 ???

Threw a code last night and got the service engine soon light. Code was 1146. I read it with the code reader sent with my procede. The book of codes only goes up to something less than 1000. I looked at 146 and it said something about an 02 sensor from the third bank.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

The code did clear after it diplayed 4 times, and then the SES light went out. Never got a limp mode. It drove fine.

It has to do with a MAP sensor reading. Are you manual or auto? Which map are you running?

Britalman exhaust. I was able to throw myself into limp mode when it was first installed before the car adjusted to it. But that was under acceleration in the first 4 miles after it was added. Has not happened since (hundreds of miles), and even this time no limp.

PM me your email address and I'll send you something that should take care of it.

Bringing this thread back from the dead... my car just threw the SES light with code 1146. Any idea what that code is for? I tried searching, but could only come up with a possible overboost, but that wasn't a definitive answer. Car is currently stock (only bov and exhaust).

Looked in my old PMs and don't see the PM from shiv back in Dec 2007. Sorry. That new Bavarian Technic diagnostic tool would come in handy for sure.

Speaking of which--will it "do" what the GT1 will do? Will it clear the codes all the way out? Might be a worthwhile investment if so.....

Thanks for checking... I appreciate it.

Yeah, that would be a good tool to have for sure. I'm just not sure that I want to drop $300 on it right now.

This table has values for Subaru and Volkswagon. Air flow sensor for VW. MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor air flow possibly as shiv mentioned?

P1146 Pressure Sensor Circuit Range/Perf. (High Input) (Subaru)
P1146 Mass Air Flow Sensor Supply Voltage. (Volkswagen)

http://autorepair.about.com/cs/troub.../bl_obd_11.htm

The list here has these two options as well:

P1146 Mass Air Flow Sensor Supply Voltage. (***(May not be applicable for Honda / Acura)***)
