Whats goin on w my V2?? Boost leak?
I'm running the same boost in valet as I am at 94%.........
![]() I have my rpms set to 1800rpms..I'm going to try and set it to 300rpms to see if it makes a difference. I'm revving past 2000rpms as soon as I start the car so it should be running the V2 map, not valet. Valet - 3rd gear 33 degrees ambient ![]() 94% - 2nd and 3rd gear 33 degrees ambient ![]()

Its always a good idea for you(along with anyone who drives a Turbo Car) to go over all connections periodically and tighten them with a Wrench (not just a screwdriver)

You're still on valet mode.
You're not revving past 1800rpm quickly enough. Either that, or you aren't holding it there for the 1 second it needs to trigger the performance map. If you set it to 300rpm, you'll get your boost back. Shiv |

Thanks again for the tech tidbit thread....I went in and selected Debug7.
I went out to my car w/ my new computer and tried to attach it to my procede, at which point I did something wrong and killed my car. 15 minutes later, every hazard light known to man, and my old laptop and I got it worked back out. I had to reload everything and do the firmware update again.....that sucked. So long story short, I reloaded v2.0.2 at the "stock" 90% and went out for some datalogging. No adaptation time. this is what I logged for a 3rd gear run. I think I have a boost leak. ![]()

Couple things: First, there is no reason to reload any firmware if you have already done it before. And if you do it while the car is running, you'll induce all sorts of codes. They can all be cleared. But that is why we suggest to do the upgrade with the ignition ON (but engine not running). Second, if you select Debug 7 (and move it over to the right side of the screen using the ">>" button, you'll see it listed right under RPM and BOOST (on the bottom left of the datalog screen). It is not there in the screen shot you posted. I suggest you just put the valet RPM switch back to the original default setting (300rpm) and do another run. This will essentially force the PROcede to run the performance map. Shiv |

Also, I have installed a new IC so the couplings could be starting to loosen, see here: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=97209 I'm going to power down the car overnight and have it again tomorrow....if its still at 10psi and below I'm going to get back under the car and tighten everything up again.

its very easy. you can do this for any program you ever have open on Windows....Mac might be the same process.
1) Make sure the screen you want to copy is currently showing on your computer. 2) Hit the Print Screen button (on my laptop its labeled 'PrtSC'). You DO NOTneed to hold down shift, ctrl, alt....etc. 3) Open paint, which can be found in your Start menu under accesories. 4) With a clean/new file opened in paint, hit Ctrl + 'V' (this is a shortcut for the paste feature) and your copied screenshot will be pasted. Now just save the new paint file somewhere as a .jpeg file and then upload to your preferred photo hosting website. I used www.photobucket.com , its free and quick. Done.

update - 12/16
Still not holding proper boost, currently running at default 90%. I will not have any time to get under the hood today, Christmas party tonight. I will have to tackle it tomorrow at some point and see what I can find. It is quite annoying knowing I have all this power under my right foot but just a loose fitting is keeping me from really having some fun. OH well, might be for the better given the current weather....i dont want to end up in a ditch.

One thing to keep in mind if you do in fact have a boost leak is that they are very hard on the Turbo. While the Motor is only seeing 9psi, Xpsi is leaking out of the IC pipes along the way so the Turbo may actually be pushing 15psi+ to try and compensate.

thanks for the heads up, I want to fix this asap.....and keep the boosting down to a minimum. Would I necessarily hear the boost leak? Would sound like air escaping if it was a major leak right?

Regardless I'm going to run the car in valet mode until I get everything tightened up. No sense in going to higher boost w/ what I'm thinking is a boost leak until I have ruled that out.
