AR Design 335xi N54 Downpipes Ceramic Coated + Forge Diverters
Hey guys, Up for sale is a set of ARDesign 3" downpipes for the N54 335xi models. They are 2000*F Silver ceramic coated (cuts down on trans tunnel heat), and are in great shape. When they were removed from the car they had a tiny (<1mm) hole in the front pipe (I think my mechanic caused it in removing them, as they fit great and didn't rattle) so I took them today and got the hole all sealed up (see in third pic). Hardware and gaskets are not included as I needed to reuse them on my car. These are top of the line downpipes which cost over $1100 new after shipping. They don't come up often with in xdrive fitment with the coating. Price is $400 shipped Also up for sale is a set of Forge diverter valves for N54 platform. I used them for about 20k miles, and disassembled them twice for lubing and cleaning. One hose has a little abrasion rash but does not leak and wasn't visible after install, other is in great shape. Diverter valves are SOLD

Can you elaborate on the hole? How would something like that happen?

I'm really unsure...The downpipes were at my mechanic's shop for about a year before I went and got them, and when I picked them up and examined closely there was a small dent in the pipe with a tiny ~1mm long crack in the middle of it about the thickness of a human hair. If it was there while they were on my car (I highly doubt it) then I wasn't able to detect it over the 20k+ miles they were installed for. I imagine they were just stored under some other parts and as things were moved around they took a hit. Other than this they are flawless, there was no rusting of the pipe as they are made of heavy duty 304SS. The tech at the (reputable, custom fab) exhaust shop took a look, said 'no problem' and filled the small crack with a bit of weld. Five minutes later I was sent on my way.

Was the welding done to the same standards as original, if it wasn't purged, you may find there is a mound of slag built up inside the pipe this can lead to flow restriction, corrosion and then fail.

Price is OBO as said and the repair will be considered in the value of the parts.
In regards to the restriction I'm pretty sure the O2 sensor sticks out more into the pipe than the small pea-sized dent that the pipe had. The only reason I got it welded at all was due to the small hairline crack in the center of the dent. There was no hole-filling required as the metal still remained.
