How do we stack up against the M235?
I am curious as I saw one on the road today and it looks pretty nice (IMO).
Is it a fast car ? I haven't looked into the specs that much but seems as it uses the N55 engine ? How would a FBO 335i on pump gas (93) stack up against to a tuned M235 ? How about the F30 335 tuned/fbo? |

Well, the E9x N54 with intake, downpipe, mild FMIC upgrade, and Cobb AccessPort will run a 12 flat in the quarter with no other help.
N55 is just as responsive to mods, and the 235 is lighter than the 335 by a few hundred pounds and has a slightly shorter wheelbase. I think you're comparing apples and apples - they're mostly the same car. The newer car has a bit more power stock, but otherwise...

FBO Twin turbo >>> FBO single turbo
The newer N55 has some improvements to top end power so its better then the first gen N55, the car itself is nifty looking, but inside is CHEAP

I knew it was a matter of time until someone from south florida responded. RMnEvo's 135i was a beast. I know several people including myself running sub 12.5 being FBO.

For those of you who haven't been around long. The car is capable of being fast if you know how to drive. |

Just because YOU can't do it, doesn't mean that other people can't... I've seen plenty sub-12 FBO's, such as the 11.7 above. I think the record is 11.3ish on stock turbos.

Doesn't matter. Both N54 and N55 platforms have gone under 11.5 sec @ 120+ with BMS' set ups. I test drove the M235 and the suspension is better than stock 335s as well as braking.

I run 12.1 - 12.2 in my 335i with just a JB4, DCI, E85 and a FMIC. First time I ran a 12.1 was with the G4 board, a DCI and some E85. All my runs were on really crappy all season tires. The link in my sig shows the 12.1 pass on the G4 board. Since adding the FMIC I've picked up 5-7 mph in trap speed since the IAT isn't as high after the 1/8 mile.
