Which 4wheel drive??
My girl is going to get a car soon and she wants an AWD car.
She is considering 328xi sedan, MB C300 4matic, and Audi A4 2.0T. Her budget is around 45k, she really loves my 335i coupe, especially the coral red interior. But she doens't really need a 335i cause she won't be doing any spirited driving like I do lol. Which one would you guys choose? |

If she likes to drive, then tell her to get the E90 BMW 328xi. Since you are already familiar with this website and E9x's you can help her mod her car. Obviously blacklines, black out grill and rims.
If she doesn't care what car she drives, doesn't understand modding and just wants AWD for safety then tell her to get the Audi. It has a very good AWD system...likely better than BMW X-Drive (less slippage). If she doesn't care what she really drives...but wants her car to be a fashion statement and she wants something stylish (right now), then see if she can get the new MB C class...that car is really hot right now given it's the newest car of the three.. Expect a waitlist and not very good deals from the dealer. Lemme guess...she's getting white. I like how white looks...but for some reason girls LOVE that colour on any car. |

Audi by a country mile, it's the only one which CAN actually cope with difficult conditions like snow and ice without falling down. It has been adapted to a more sporty drive (40/60 split) and you aren't stuck with the run of the mill range (S/RS models).
P.S. And as of 2008 all Quattro are to be offered with Sport Diff as an option. |

I'd go with the C if I didn't really care about the ride. The A4 looks old now. Only '4' model I'd get would be an S/RS.
C300/350 4matic, AMG package. You're good to go.

I couldn't agree more, both Audi and Subaru have a heritage in rallying as well as Nissan and those mighty EVOs, but while I can't knock the actual systems in all of the others it's only the Audi which provides something which you would want to drive day in day out and especially if you were a woman which the original question was about.
