UPGRADING FROM STOCK TO IDRIVE? Possible? Cost-Effective?

Hey folks- new to the forum. I've been wondering about adding Idrive/navigation to my 2007 328i.

Is this possible, is it cost effective? anybody know how much?

I would love to have the NAV, as well as an integrated onboard comp to pair with my IPHONE.

This is probably an arm and leg and not worth it, so beyond that, anybody else know of any nav/touch screen systems I could throw in there that would pair with my iphone once I get the USB adaptor?

Thanks in Advance

Its not cost effective to try to retrofit idrive. You might as well trade your car in for another BMW with idrive--it would be cheaper.

However, you dont need idrive to pair your iphone using bluetooth. You can retrofit bluetooth into your car for about $600-$700.

Let me clarify a little bit.
I already have bluetooth and can pair my iphone.

I would like to have a Nav system that I can plug my iphone into, and see my itunes/videos/phone stuff on the Nav screen.

Anybody know of any Nav systems that can link with an Iphone like that?

Thanks guys
Anthony

There is an aftermarket solution for driving the idrive display. It does not integrate into idrive, but rather takes over the LCD display for showing DVD movies, etc. This *might* work, but then you'd need idrive to begin with.

Trying searching the forums for "nav2go" or "tvandnav2go":

He has bluetooth not iDrive. He wants a nav system WITH LCD that supports iPod. There should be plenty of those around that him him audio playback through iPhone via USB.
