After dealer service phone has to be synced every day

Howdy guys,

I have a Motorola Q that I've been using in my car for the last several months. I've had maybe one or two connection problems in the entire time I've used it with my car. It connects automatically every time I get into the car.

Last week my car(328i) went in for service. After getting it back my phone no longer automatically connects to the car. Nothing was changed on the phone and it's too much of a coincidence the car was just serviced. Now, every time I get into the car I have to delete and enter my phone again into the car.
BMW says they weren't going to do any software updates to the car.

Does anybody have ideas? I'm a little irritated that it was working fine until it went in for service..

Is that BMWNA or actually your dealer saying that?

Other than the phone malfunctioning, there's nothing else to say here: take that sucker back to the dealer and make them fix it. This is not a standard "feature"... I would leave your phone there also if you can for the dealer to try it with other TCU's to eliminate any variables from the equation.

Is your phone currently an approved mobile device? That could be the problem. It could also interfere with warranty coverage being denied if an unapproved device is being used.here check this out http://www.wireless4bmw.com/phones2.html

Using a non "approved" phone can't void warranty coverage.

Maybe I didn't explain it clearly. I took my car in for the routine yearly service(oil change, etc.). I didn't have any issues with the phone working in my car before I dropped it off. They said all they were doing is the oil/filter change and checking the things on the list. They supposedly weren't doing any computer work.

However, now my phone has to be reconnected to my car every time I start up.

My phone is the Q, like stated, which is on the list of phones that should work for the car.

I was hoping somebody might have an idea why all of the sudden something that worked fine before doesn't work well now.
