Replace DTC Button with FUN

A lot of people have been wanting this. See original post here

My friend and i think we have found a way to do this. Im not comfortable taking my interior apart so i need someone who is to allow me to make a mold/template of their button. If successful i will send that person their original along with a custom made one for free. If not (highly doubt it, but u never know) ill send button back with a sorry note. We dont think we can match the interior black plastic perfectly so we were thinking of making it red with white colors. We may be able to make custom colors too. Cant really give a price yet but price would mainly be for labor and s+h. Let me know if anyone is interested.

Update: we have someone sending us a button. Once we get it we will start the trial and error process. We have been thinking of also doing customs push/start buttons. What would you have yours say? Color?

Just do both buttons to make them match.

This was also an option, which could still be done, but it wouldnt match the black plastic behind it. If you would like this we can do it( need someone to send both buttons) but it would cost extra for the second button.

We are really trying to get this to work. The idea is simple. And making it seems even more simple. The only thing we arnt to sure about is the white lettering looking perfect and still being able to light up as usual. This will take some trial and error, but we are hoping to have these available to you guys asap.

Post your ideas of what you would make your button look like! Primary color and what symbol or 3 letter word you would like!

Im sure some people think this is a scam. Its not. Im not promising that these will ever come out(im 95% sure they will). My friend and i are going to work very hard to get these things to work. Iv been on here for a while and know some very reputable people on here who im sure would vouch for me such as clem and boom. Both of which have worked on my car.

If they were color matched or at least both buttons were the same color (nothing too stand-off ish) then count me in.

Currently the buttons illuminate in the dark, would you be able to replicate this?

Illuminating the buttons is probably going to be out biggest challenge. We have some ideas that we are going to try. But it is our goal to have it done.

I was under the impression that using clear plastic and having all except for lettering painted black would make it so the light shines through the clear lettering (illumination)

But I know absolutely nothing about this stuff so let us know how it all goes

Buttons are almost done guys. Sorry i havnt updated. We will be sending out blank buttons to our tester for fitment. Once we get the ok, we will start putting lettering in. Should be done sometime next week. Sorry its taking so long, we are both military guys and work alot

Update: buttons were sent to tester for fitment. We are now working on getting the final product. Sorry these are taking ao long. We have both beed very busy at work. And the Blue Angels landed at out base the other day
