ASA rims square with Dulop SP Winter Sport 225/45/17.

Go-flat Blizzak LM-26 225/45R18 on Enkei rims. Corrects the speedo to almost dead-on accurate. Ran the first year without TPMS, couldn't stand it and had some installed last year.

I use my 18x8 front and 18x9 rear M6 rep wheels with 235/40ZR-18 front and 265/35ZR-18 rear Continental ExtremeContact DWS. They are good in the snow and wet conditions and have a good tread life. Sloppy handling in dry and soft sidewall. Perfect for comfort and winter. I much prefer my Pilot Super Sports but they are spring summer and fall.

18x8 modas with blizzak lm 25. picked em up off CL for $200 with TPMS installed.

BMW style 197 Wheels, Bridgestone Blizzak WS60 tires 225/40/18 and 235/40/18, wheels are staggered 18x8.0" and 18x8.5", OEM TPMS sensors.

Bought them for my 335d originally from a member here and kept them when I swapped the d for the 335xi. I can't believe what a beast the xi was in the snow. It was like driving a snowmobile this past winter, which was terrible in PA. Just amazing.

Stock 16s (not sure what style number they are, but they are ugly) with Dunlop Winter Sport 3Ds. No complaints about them, never been stuck. They were getting a little noisier toward the end of last winter (3rd winter I had run them), but still look to have plenty of tread left.

Once the cheap tires I have on my staggered 19s die, I've thought about throwing some all seasons like Conti DWS on there and running them year round, as I don't drive nearly as much as I used to, and pretty much don't leave my house if the weather is bad (I work from home).

I run Dunlop 3D's 225/40/18 square setup. If they made them in 18's I would run General Altimax Arctic's in a heartbeat.

225/45/18 is almost a 4% difference in the speedo whereas 225/40/18 is 0.5% difference, but you do get more sidewall protection which is nice!

Yes, on the rears. I suppose when I replace the rears, which is probably soon, I would get them in 225/40/18. The 235s are harder to find.

I run Conti DWS year round, stock staggered 18" sizes. Non RFT. AWD + good all season + sensible driving works pretty well for the amount of snow and mostly plowed road conditions we get up here. Also we have to deal with some sort of winter weather 8-9 months of the year one way or another, so swapping out summer tires is a hassle. 8k ft ASL at the house, up to 12k at the ski area and passes, maybe down to 6k ft. heading to the nearest big town.

We get 15-20 ft in town and 40 ft up high. Of snow. I use a Tacoma 4WD on heavy unplowed snow days, rest of the time the 335xi.

Yeah, my difference is 1.26% according to the calcs but I don't have any problems with DTC/DSC. Now who knows what is happening to my transfer case, hopefully not too bad based on 3k miles worth of winter driving.
