Oil sensor question
hey I recently got the thermic oil level sensor code come up. My oil level is good. I just recently had a notification to add about a quart so I did and the level has been reading a notch right below max. I am due for an oil change im about 5k on my royal purple. I dont have an oil warning light on my dash. do you think the sensor is bad or do you think its reading the condition of the oil bad?? I remember on my e46 if the level sensor was bad the oil warning light would come on even if it was full. I havent noticed any driving issues. but since ive been getting this code which was bout a week ago sometimes my car starts and the rpms will dip for a couple seconds. im running FBO with jb4 and meth. just replaced plugs and coils like 5k miles ago

I've never heard of 335i oil warning lights go off because of condition of oil. At least that has not been my experience yet. Just only if the oil is low. Good luck
