Moving out to Seattle. Any advice?
With new job opportunities, it looks like I'll be relocating to Seattle (not sure exactly where). Hoping to meet new faces and a new crowd. Anything I should know about prior to moving (in general)?
All I've heard about Seattle is corporate businesses, rain, coffee, and Canada. Clearly, I don't know much. ![]() Here's what I'll be bringing in December. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Say Hello to 50deg and drizzle
I always liked the Redmond area -- the mix of people and culture makes Seattle a neat place. The traffic and the drizzle - not so much. Love the car!

Traffic is kind of sucky. Used to be ok. Glad I don't have to work and commute. Might want to consider location to public transpo when choosing where to live.
Downtown Seattle has become really a "scene", if you like that. It's also gotten pricey to rent apts downtown. Usually, if it's drizzle around Seattle, it's sunny up at the ski areas. |

That's awesome, Sean! You'll like it! And yeah, the proximity to Vancouver will be the best thing about Seattle
