One new front wheel / tire. Is this bad for the car?

I have a leaky rim or tire and need to replace it. Not sure which it is. Am I going to have an issue if I end up with one new front tire with (you'd imagine) a different overall diameter because it is new?

Is there anything else I should be looking out for?

For a leak you generally don't need a new tire, usually it's an issue with the valve stem or bead that can be fixed easily. If you actually do need one new tire you can get it shaved to match the others.
