Any one on H&R springs on E91?

Hi Guys
Considering H&R springs for my E91 now, so need a feedback on drop (on M sports) and feedback on drive / handling with 19 inch wheels?

Or 18 inch wheels?

Photos will be bonus.

Thanks.

Sam i have had eibach pro's on for 2 weeks now on an m sport e90 and tbh the drop is hardly anything, was hoping it would have dropped a bit more but it aint, not really worth the money as i was hoping for near on no arch gap.

Nothing to do with h&r but thought i would let you know to avoid the eibach pro's if you want a decent drop

Thanks mate. Eibach pro gives you subtle drop. Your drop will increase in 3-4 months once they settle fully.

I had Eibach sportsline on my last E90 and initial drop was excellent. In 3-4 months, there was further drop and ride became bit harsh.

Don't be disappointed as you will get a bit more drop.

PS: I have already paid for Eibach pro, but reconsidering H&R which is 35mm front and 20mm rear.

The ride is actually alot better than my m sport and 18's on rft.

Even the wife thinks its alot smoother with 19's and non rft now.

Seems to hold the road alot better and handling has increased just hope it does settle in a little lower.

Perhaps a bit more of a drop may of made the ride not so nice

I'm on Eibach Sportlines at the moment and its a reasonable drop as you're probably aware already from the sound of it.

I've heard the H&R springs drop it slightly more but are a bit harsher because of it.

I switched from 313s RFTs to 19 inch standard rubber and difference is day and night mate. So completely agree with what you are saying.

I hope your car gets a bit more drop and hope you get satisfied. It is difficult one where comfort v/s aesthetics....
Further drop is defo better but makes the car bit harsh.

Any photos after drop?

Shame that eibach does not make sportline spring for 330d.

So its Ebach Pro V/S H&R V/S vogtland (40mm front drop and more aggressive than H&R).

Eibach Sportlines, it's an old photo but it's the most recent on my Photobucket showing it from the side lol.

The photos of mine you put up on the ispiri topic were on h&r springs. I found the front settled too low and the ride was crashy compared to standard.

I went back to std with lowering perches for the front and it sits perfect for me with decent ride on koni yellows

Looks sweet.
Are those 18s or 19s?
My drop on Eibach Sportsline was more than that.

Slight off topic, but how did you find the Sportlines Mak? I can get them for my 320D, always thought about H&Rs as Eibach's didn't go low enough but if you say they were fairly low then I might look in to them.

In terms of drop and comfort, here is the hierarchy

Eibach Pro: minimal drop but same comfort as OEM M sports

Eibach Sportline: Nearly similar drop to H&R (there may be few mm difference) but comfort is somewhere b/w Eibach pro and H&R

H&R: Max drop (few mm more than sportline) but rubbing issues and crashy drive.

I loved Eibach Sportlines. They were low enough to be aggressive but at the same time, they were slightly bouncy on rough road. On motorway and A-roads they were spot on!

Here is my old car two weeks after having those springs:

And this is approx 1 year after having Eibach sportline.

Looks spot on to me. If I do decide to change the suspension, it could be those.

Looked at the H&R before i picked up the Apex springs for a snip. Cant complain about the handling or drop and married to the Koni shocks they are quite comfortable too.

Yes, they are 19s.

Springs were fitted on M sport standard shocks.

I would stick with your drop.
Those few mm further drop on my car comes with a compromise on the comfort. And as said, I would like to have drop like yours having reasonable comfort as well.
