Buying KW V1's Anything I need to know?
I am purchasing a set of KW V1's for my 2010 E90 XI. Anything I need to know about installing these? Anything I should be cautious of?

The only thing I would say is be sure disconnect/not break the auto-leveling sensor cable for the headlights.
Otherwise, like stated above, pat yourself on the back for a good purchase. |

What are you worried about?
I daily my e92 335xi on KW V3's spun all the way down and set pretty darned stiff. Even at that, they're still way more comfortable than a lot of other coils. My friends' WRX's are on ISC's and BC Extreme Lows; they are far more jarring than KW's. |

If it helps you, I live in Brooklyn where roads are extreme shit and I have the V1s at a few threads before the lowest setting. I pretty much avoid every single bump I can but on the occasion that I do hit one or two, it's not bad and this is just me but I think it absorbs bumps better than the xdrive suspension. Simply said, I think this was one of the best mods I've ever spent on. You'll love it.

Lmao you clearly don't have much experience with my area. I commute on 95 and 287. The roads are absolute shit. You just have to be a vigilant driver.

If you're doing the install yourself, make sure to either get a "knuckle seperater" or be very careful not to overstress the metal when pulling it apart.
I agree though. Single best mod I'v done to my car. |

A starting point for setting the nuts would be good to know ahead of time. Unfortunately, mine's an E92 so I'm sure my settings are different.
I have 4 threads showing on the front and about 1/8" from being as low as possible in the rear (there's a 1/8" space between the nut and the rubber thing). I had the rear lowered all the way but raised it up slightly to match the gap in the front. I couldn't go any lower in the front without risking hitting the tire on the fender. |
