Did the unThinkable and traded 335D for i3 Have Winter Rims/Tires and
New BMW (in the box Roof Racks) Pics below. Would like $450 firm for the tires/rims and $199 for the roof racks ( I searched they retail for $230)
These should fit 2009-2011 BMW 3 series Maybe more. 17" rims only 2.5 years old These are local pick up, bank checks only, Im in Northern CT. fmoffa@mac.com |

Interesting. So why did you do the unthinkable? Don't say because of the kids. Those freeloaders.

The i3 is definitely interesting but limited, in my view, due to its having only 2 passenger capacity in the back seat and the lack of 4 regular style doors. It also only has 5 cubic feet storage behind the rear seat, but this may be under the cover perhaps.
Given how big the F30 has made the 3 series become, perhaps they should have named it the i2. |

After driving an i3 REX for two days I'm not sure how you talked yourself into that one...
The 335d is so much more comfortable, the HK sound is terrible compared at least to the L7 system, and those little tires were a bit wobbly at 75mph. The wife got a whole 75miles out of the charge on her daily commute. She does have to drive fast though here in Houston, so that probably drained it pretty quickly. Even driving 100 miles a day the ROI was over 7 years compared to keeping my 335d. I think test driving the Tesla is what put the nail in the coffin on the i3 for me at least. ![]() With that said though, I still wanted it pretty bad. You got the exact one we drove. Amazing color. |

Yes the skinny wheels are bit to get use to after having the 335d with the sport pkg.. but honestly I was getting tired of the run flats catching every single groove in the street. Did a total of 80 miles all Electric it said I had 22 left... mostly done in comfort mode. As far as roomy, it has a bit better head room than the 335d in all seating positions. and there is more leg room in the front. The range extender only kicked on for maintenance mode... That was concerning, because it caused a hot plastic smell??? but nothing was melting or on fire?? The pick up is very good and it will cost me less per month... The Tesla was to dam expensive...

I had JBD on it and it was a great car. However due to career changes I know barely drive and it just seemed silly to have a diesel car that only did short trips which ultimately wasn't good for it either. M3 was an easy choice since I wanted stick again.

Yeah, at least for the e90/92, 15 mpg vs 30 mpg. $60-80,000 vs. $35-50,000. No comparison. Otherwise, they have the same curb weight, similar body/interior/sport steering wheel, electronics, but shucks, the 335d has way more torque. I guess I'm a bit biased, but might as well compare a Porsche to a Miata, eh?
For me, you might want a street car that can be tracked vs a track car that can be driven on the street. At least I got Michelin PSS's..... PL |

I actually wasn't sure and couldn't find info on the i3. The power to weight ratio may be close to that of the i8 when only accounting for 0-40. I thought you might be right.
