Opti-coat 2.0 or sealant

So I know it's not a BMW, but I was wondering what would be the best last coat for my wife's black Dodge Grand Caravan R/T? I put opticoat 2.0 on my e90 and love it, but I can control where my car is etc. and she (and my 2 young kids) just destroy the van. Lots of little scratches. I am thinking not to do the opticoat route and go for a sealant because I am expecting to have to polish it more often to get rid of scratches. Thoughts?

Thanks

Scott

I probably wouldn't opticoat something that you're going to continually be buffing and polishing scratches out. I'd say get a good sealant and call it a day for 6 months.

Opti-Coat 2.0 is no longer being made or sold to the public.

^true but Cquartz is another great option that is easier to apply IMO. But if you're constantly correcting the van, I'd just do a sealant. NOt worth the time/money to apply a coating unless the car will be taken care of daily.

If price isn't a big issue, I would probably still recommend a coating as it may help minimize staining, swirl marks and even some scuffs. Optimum has a new product called Gloss Coat, that replaced OptiCoat 2.0. Another great option is CQuartz UK. Lastly, I recently tested the new 22PLE VS1 Final Coat before it came out and it's a very good product. It has properties of the coatings but applies fairly easily (almost as a spray sealant if you wish) and the amount you get is more than worth the price. That may be a good option for you as well.

Id go with zymol glasur glaze, it has at least 6months of full paint protection and i personally love it.

Check it out on youtube you will be impressed.
