No sound, No bluetooth, No CD Changer, No Parking Assist
Hi everyone,
I have an '06 325i and a few weeks ago my radio/changer/bluetooth started having some issues. I do NOT have iDrive in it. Just the BMW Professional Stereo. First, when I tried to switch from radio to CD changer, the radio just died. Shut down the car and used it 2 days later, problem disappeared. Then, about a week later, I tried to use my phone again after almost 6 months without using the bluetooth. It connected ok. As I was talking the conversation was halted and the sound stopped and the car jumped back to the radio. At this point bluetooth was coming on and off in the "menu" screen. When I checked the "audio" options, the CD changer was alternating between two dashes "--" and the CD symbol. The radio was working but every 5-10 seconds the sound would skip. After 2 or 3 three, when I turned the car on again, things seemed normal. However, as I started charging my phone, it brought up the bluetooth connection and the audio went out again. Now whenever I start the car I get 0,5 to 1 minute os audio cutting every 2-5 seconds and then the radios dies. Everytime the radio went out, so did my park assist sound and some of the other warning sounds. I have tried: - Disconnecting the big white connector to the ULF in the boot - Sound completely stopped. - Checked all the fuses, they are all ok. I have no idea of what this could be and my dear dealer charges 700-800 USD for a brake pad change (just one pair! ) I have seen people with similar issues, but not equal and none that was clearly solved. So... Can anyone help me? |

If you are on your original battery change it.
If you are on your original battery change it.
Electronics do funny things in the e90 series with underpowered battery's because of the IBS system. First try putting a charge on it to see if that helps. http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...,d.cGU&cad=rja |

Thanks, but do you know of any ways that I can check it specifically so that I do not buy another one without needing it?

Thanks as well. I do have a new battery, switched about a year ago. Same amp level. It is reading 12.2-12.4V when I test it. Altough I would really like it to be the battery =/ At some point this week I will try to figure out how to check the Btooth module and also inspect the CD changer and the amplifier. |

Are you sure you added the Denison in to the Loop
Are you sure you added the Denison in to the Most Loop
And didn't bypass those devices that are causing the errors. Are the switches set right on the Dension? Are you using the BMW Bluetooth phone since you have the SOS . Have you added in the programming necessary for the Dension to be recognized as a CDC and ipod. If you disconnect the ULF you are breaking the Most Loop. If there is one break on the Most loop nothing will work. The car will look for the devices that have been disconnected causing errors . Dension 500 http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...hlight=dension http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...hlight=dension http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...hlight=dension http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...hlight=dension http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...hlight=dension see entry 4 and 5 in the first link.
