Exclamation Installed Cobb Tuner, affected my Alpina flash?

Just installed my Cobb V3. No problems with the install, everything went smoothly. Engine runs great.

Backed out of the driveway, and the car keeps trying to take off in 3rd gear?? Won't go down to 1st or 2nd no matter what.

I had flashed the Alpina program a few thousand miles back with no problems, until now.

Any ideas/suggestions?

I'm going to try to re-flash the Alpina and see what happens.

Just reflashed Alpina. No problems doing so, everything went exactly as it did the first time that I tried it.

Shut off ignition for the 5min with door locked, and whenever I started it back up, I noticed that the trans would now function normally (start in 1st gear). But I had a Service Engine Soon light on.

Read the codes with INPA. LOTS of them under DME and a couple other modules.
Cleared the codes, and none of them came back. Even restarted car to make sure all was OK.

Connected Cobb again, and used it to verify the Tune. Seems ok.

About to go drive it. What do you guys think about all of this??? Almost gave me a heart attack.

There are very few members who understand the inner workings of the Alpina B3 flash. I am a software developer and I still had someone else do it to avoid the hassle.

Maybe @Alex@alpine can help you out?

I have both running fine on my n55 and I add/remove my cobb flash all the time. No negative effects on the Alpina B3 yet.

After I reflashed it, there haven't been any issues on my commute back to the office.
I did get to thinking about the slew of codes that had popped out, and found my printout from the last time I did the flash. Same codes back then, so I dont think that's related. I had to clear them the last time too, but back then, I don't think that the SES light came on.

No lights or anything on my drive in to the office. I think all is well right now.

Tonight, I'm going to try loading a different tune with the Cobb and see if the same issue pops up again.
Luckily, instead of paying someone to do my trans flash/coding, I invested in the equipment/learning to do it myself. That definitely came in handy today!!

On a side note. I was monitoring Boost/Timing Corrections (Cyl1)/Intake Temps on my drive to work.

Under full throttle acceleration, the timing correction hit -0.5. That seems pretty good to me, how about you guys?

There was one time though when just driving in traffic, that I noticed a timing correction of -3.9. That made me looking into the intake air temps, and they were at 130+ degrees when in stop and go traffic (It's 95 degrees outside today). So I think that's why I had the correction that time.

I did hit a back road and did a little 1st thru 3rd pull, and you can tell a difference. It's not mind blowing though. Power is more linear than my BMW PPK tune was, so maybe that's what I'm feeling.
I can definitely tell that the wastegate actuator is now working differently. Exhaust tone has changed, and sounds smoother. Before, I could hear the wastegate opening a LOT under light boost (BMWs fix for rattle). Now, it's just a smoother sound, and I can hear the turbo through the air filter a LOT more.
Cobb AP showed a high boost of 19.1, but I'm sure that was from when the thottle closed when I let off.
