Interior BMW Roundel

Just noticed today that something weir is happening to my BMW roundel on my steering wheel. In the black outer circle, there are silver scratch looking things. These are also present in the silver "BMW". It is not scratched physically on the outside b/c I rubbed the emblem softly with my finger and did not feel the slightest scratch or indentation.

What exactly happened? How can I get this replaced?

I kinda figured it would be something of that nature, seeing as peoples side mirrors are cracking out of nowhere.

Sweet, some stupid little defect that I can notice everyday. My favorite.
