Microfiber cleaner?

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone uses a dedicated microfiber cleaner like the one from Chmical Guys or Detailed Image? We use microfibers around the house, not just for the car, and I was thinking of investing in this stuff instead of using the regular Tide detergent.

Also it would help to know if you do use them, if you use it in an HE washer, regular washer, or just in a bucket?

I use Griot,'s microfiber cleaner. I've been happy with it plus it also cleans machine pads too. I've used it in both standard top loader and front load high efficiency washers with no ill effects.

I always use a dedicated microfiber cleaner. I've used both the DI and CG cleaner. Both are good. I use mine in both a GE washer when at home and an older washer when at school.

Gig 103,

Yes, I use this:

http://www.griotsgarage.com/product/...r+35+ounces.do

It works as advertised...extremely effective in removing dirt, grease, etc. from microfiber towels. I've tried laundry soap and bleach, but this "specific" cleaner is highly effective.

I have not tried it in a bucket...regular top loader works perfect (not sure what a HE washer is...high efficiency? Men only? Highly effective? I use hot water and dry towels in the dryer. Towels come out looking brand new.

All you need is detergent and set the washer on the hottest setting possible...the hotter the better. Just don't use any fabric softener. Hang dry or if you do use the dryer, no dryer sheets.

I use woolite to clean my microfiber towels. I put it on "whites", which is the hottest setting. Then I hang dry on a drying rack.
