While it is true that the base part in this case being done is only around $20, doing the CF correctly is fairly labor intensive (especially around any openings).

Time=$$

There is another company out of Taiwan that does all this sort of trim same way (used to be sponsor on here). Prices are comparable, but his shipping is waaaaayy out of line - for instance, he charges $45 to ship this small part alone...

Plus the wait time is 2 months As they make them as ordered.

Here is U.S. seller with no wait

It's like this. You get what you pay for. I assume that you wrapped with vinyl. You already had cheap plastic and then you downgrade to even cheaper vinyl? That is what I don't get. You buy a luxury car and then rice it out. You should had bought a civic if you wanted cheap crap in your car. Mods should be upgrades. If you put a week to 10 days worth of labor into a part like this, what would your labor be worth?

Actually I spent money on the good 3M stuff to cover up that ugly walnut color. I'm not cutting my springs or getting a lawn mower exhaust so I don't need a civic. If you are bmw purist that's cool , but I bought my car because it rids smooth and it's comfortable. It's pretty much stock

Before anyone asks...the part in the picture below covered in vinyl is NOT for sale. It is just for comparison only.

thanks Daemon...I did this comparison picture of vinyl versus real CF. this is the same light switch trim above and another. I had some vinyl laying around and wrapped it this morning and snapped this picture...I think the picture speaks for itself.

I understand it isn't "cheap", but to me you get what you pay for. I wrapped some interior pieces of a car I had a few years ago in CF vinyl. I liked it for 2 weeks until I saw real CF in person...then I ripped it out. I had this vinyl laying around, so I wrapped a trim piece this morning. I am not sure what good "cf" vinyl is, but it will never shine like this...and this is a side by side comparison. The vinyl will always be flat where as real CF has depth.

Real cf isn't for everyone...that is why we have many options and we all do what is best for us and our car. Enjoy

Nice work dude, but you're tripping on that price. Hard or not to do that's straight up rape of your forums buds.

Thanks for the kind words...always nice to be appreciated. Maybe I should have asked for this amount ...$167? and from another country...But anyway, thanks for the props...
