You will also need a Reverse Camera Emulator & coding:

Add option $3AG to the VO in the CAS and FRM modules

and enable following in CIC Module

MACRO_PDC (aktiv)
MACRO_REARVIEW (aktiv)
RVC_CIC (wert_23)
MACRO_L6_PARKMENU (aktiv)
PDC_DIRECTION (vertikal)

I'm interested. Does this affect the license plate lighting? how is the quality? what is the difference with this compared to:

I'm not really sure since I never installed it. It still has LEDs so license plate lighting shouldn't be compromised much, if at all.

That one looks quite advanced, seems to come with the camera emulator module, and they appear to have put a lot of research into it (e.g., "self-coding"). It also costs over $400 more.
