Difference in monthly lease payment 12K vs. 15K
So i used a spreadsheet found on another bimmer site to calculate my lease (term is 36 months) and I'm planning on ED. Is there a formula to calculate the increase in the lease payment with the increase in mileage. This is the scenario:
Term: 36 months Mileage: 15K miles/yr ED Invoice: 30,205 Options: 5,595 Net Cap Cost: 37,175 Amount over ED Invoice: 600 MF: 0.00163 (3.9%) ED Adder: 0.00030 Net MF: 0.00193 (4.62%) So can anyone confirm the monthly payment with minimal drive-off for 12K vs. 15K. What would we do without the Internet - very helpful guys/gals here with loads of knowledge. Thanks. |

Actually your money factor will not be .00193, it will be .00220. You have to add .00030 not .000030 the way you did. If you do 15k miles a year instead of 12k miles a year, there will be about a $15.00 difference in payment.

Here you go.
http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=248804 Residuals posted are for 15K miles/year. Add 2% to Residual for 12k mi/yr and 3% for 10k mi/yr on all terms

Thanks. So here is my lease payment breakdown. I have based it on $600 over invoice as this is what my cousin just got on his 5 series a few weeks back from Fremont and he went directly through the Sales Manager. The response I got from the Salesperson that the manager designated me to was "send me ur numbers and we will get the car for you" which "seems" great. I have yet to tell her that I want ED.
ED Invoice: 30,205 Options: 5,595 Net Cap Cost: 37,175 MF: 0.00163 (3.9%) ED Adder: 0.00030 Net MF: 0.00193 (4.62%) (37175-24519)/36 = 351.55 depreciation (37175+24519)x 0.00193 = 119.06 interest 351.55+119.06 = 470.61+38.82 = 509.43/mnth for 15k miles/yr Any comments? Thanks for the help! |

You should be upfront with them about the ED. Sometimes the dealership has an ED specialist, so she would have to turn the deal over to that person.
Also it'll probably save you some negotiating hassles if they know it's ED upfront.

He is right. Take for example the guy I dealt with at Life Quality in Brooklyn. His name is Andy and he is the only guy at the dealership that does ED.
